Outstanding Octogenarians

As the population in western Europe progressively ages, with more and more people living to their 80's and beyond, old people are often portrayed as a drain on society.

With an increasingly unstable workplace people often feel that from their mid 40's changing careers or finding new work is impossible and that treading water and keeping their heads down until their retirement comes up.

This series of portraits is of people in their 80's who are still working and have also gained outstanding reputation in their specific fields challenging the stereotypes and enjoying life.
